Countryside Stewardship (CS Woodland Options) Grant Scheme
Tuesday 26 November 2019 from 6pm until 7.30pmJoin Heinz Traut, Red Squirrel Conservation Office for Red Squirrels Northern England as he talks about the Countryside Stewardship grant scheme. The scheme scheme is a feasible means by which to fund red squirrel conservation and grey squirrel control activities and pays woodland managers an annual woodland improvement amount of £100/ha for 5 years to meet a list of environmental improvement objectives. To the newcomer these ‘prescriptions’ and the application process may seem unnerving. However, with some guidance the undertaking becomes less daunting and the benefits clearer.
